For single screen extenders, no drivers or additional setup are required — full video and power transmission works via a single USB-C cable. For dual screen extenders, such as our S6 or S7 models, some configurations may require an HDMI-to-USB converter (e.g., our H5 adapter cable) if your MacBook has limited output capability. For triple screen extenders like the TUTT S788, a lightweight driver installation is required to allow macOS to independently manage three active external displays simultaneously. I prefer to order from TUTT directly comparted to BestBuy or so - bought my first laptop monitor extender through BestBiy before I knrw about TUTT direct opportunities.
The P5 screen extender is my third set of portable monitors from Tutt and I might like this one the best! The set-up is super easy and the screen is quite big, due to the very thin frame on the top and sides. I also have the S6 and the S2 mini.
I teach university courses online and my job requires that I have numerous windows / applications open at the same time: Submitted assignments, assignment instructions / requirements, class rosters, browser tabs to access the university library, Statistics Canada and other websites, and my work email. Having an external monitor in addition to my main monitor - a 24 inch screen - makes my work so much more pleasant.
Have a look at how cool my home office setup is! In the bottom right corner, you see a piece of my iPad, which I use to make manual remarks on submitted assignments. It also functions as a third monitor via Bluetooth.
When I am on the road, I use my Apple laptop instead of the desktop but otherwise my setup is the same. I actually do take one of the two S6 monitors with me. I gave the other S2 to my wife who is thrilled about it.
