While effective, we identified several limitations and began improving the platform to make it fully independent from our support team.
Our new model, inspired by Amazon’s automated return system but enhanced with a customer-first approach, will officially launch in November 2025. The process is simple: within 30 days of purchase, if the product is unused and fully compliant with our return policy, the customer simply confirms compliance in the portal. Instantly, the system provides return instructions and the correct return address in either Mississauga or Brampton, depending on the product type. Once the returned item is inspected, a full refund is automatically issued within five business days.
This approach is built on complete trust in our customers: we assume that the policy has been read and understood. No email delays, no manual approval — just a direct, automated return experience.
In October 2025, Canada Post entered a new stage of negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW). On October 3, 2025, Canada Post presented updated offers to the union in an effort to resolve ongoing disputes and modernize working conditions (Canada Post News). However, CUPW responded critically, stating that the proposals did not address their concerns in a meaningful way (Global News). This situation has caused disruptions for businesses and customers across the country.
Traditionally, Canada Post has been our primary shipping carrier because it is the only national provider able to cover remote areas, territories, and P.O. Boxes across Canada. However, due to ongoing delays and service interruptions, this reliance has created challenges for both TUTT and our customers. As a customer-first company, we immediately shifted to alternative carriers such as Intelcom and are also integrating additional options to ensure uninterrupted service.
Our approach is simple: standard shipping will remain free through Intelcom, while faster delivery options such as UPS Express Saver are available at an additional fee. We are also in the process of integrating Purolator as an optional service on our website, giving customers even more flexibility in choosing their preferred delivery method. This ensures that customer experience remains consistent and reliable, regardless of postal disruptions.
